It was brought to my attention that a distaste has grown for some when it comes to running Moria Instances over and over to get Alts geared before they "fix" everything. I am going to say I have to agree, wether the place is fixed or not we will be able to beat them. We need to focus on our Mains, if we have all our Radiance then its time for all that Jewelry.

This is not saying we won't run these instances for Radiance Gear, there are still mains who need the Pieces. What it means, for example, is that we will not run the things just to get say....Douks geared before they fix them. Douks will be My second alt, I can get the gear on him whenever, Hell at this point I can PuG the instances.

This is not to say your alt will not be welcomed on a run, all it means is that we will be running something for gear a "Main" needs. If you need a Radiance piece from that instance on an alt and you are of level, then you are more than welcome to come on the alt unless your main is needed.

Bottom line, pick a main and gear it out fully, we will be focusing on Mains and their needs not alts and their needs. We would like to kill the Watcher.

Now, this Brings up the topic of the Rift last night. The Rift was not run to Gear out Douks (that was just a side bonus), it was run so we all played and had fun together, REGARDLESS of if we were wiping or not. I could tell some people were getting frustrated at the wiping last night, you may want to take a second and reflect, because you would not have gotten frustrated 3 months ago when the rift was endgame and we had a blast doing it. We wiped alot, but the point was we were playing together and having a blast. If its not about that anymore for you than I don't know what to say to that. Also, the hope chain at the end of the rift is also a goal, we would like to have as many of those for our attempts at the watcher.

The last topic I want to address is the "helping" of alts. In other words Power leveling. I for example will not ask for any help from Kinmates on my alt unless I have tried for at least a 1/2 hour to get a grp in LFF, and that help is for ONE quest, not to sit there and run me through a zone. Many people have complained that they are tired of being asked to drop their agendas for the day/evening cause someone is constantly asking to be PL'd. Bottom line here, its your alt YOU level it, if you need help with one thing ask, but do not ask someone to come and help you do all your quests in say........ the Lonelands

I have been away a while and perhaps I am not aware of our current leadership situation.

Has Serna stepped down?

Is one person now making decisions for this Kin?

Even when Serna was the leader decisions and policy were less centred than conciliatory.

Arbitrary announcements of what we will and will not be doing hardly seem in keeping with the spirit held by the Hawks I knew.

Who and what I play still remain my decision I assume. If I am not able or needed to run in a raid YOU are putting together so be it. My loss I'm sure.

We need to talk about the implications of this post further. Perhaps a Kin meeting on Vent. The depth to which this post disappoints and disturbs me are Moriaesque.

The reason anyone plays this game is to have fun. The reasons I wish to play a certain character or go on a raid are mine own. The Rift run last night was a perfect example. I did it not for Douks' gear...which I'm sure will be replaced by something superior shortly. Nor did I play for profit. I didn't play for fun, frankly I am exhausted and overworked and probably would have had more fun sleeping. I feel a little rusty and wanted to observe how the Kin was fairing with the new meta-game and how the dynamic was.

That topic we can share another time.

I'm interested in the back story here. I too would like to begin running the watcher...I have never shied away from endgame content...but I am curious as to how WE plan to approach it. Both socially and logistically.

I am an officer, it is my job to convey the sentiment of others. I did not type this to be an ass, I typed because after several conversations with many people this is what was said. I absolutly agree with you that I am not the best writer and the context does come off abrasive. Believe me you are reading more into it than I really meant. I tried to take some pretty concise complaints and try to broaden them so I implicated noone.

Noone is telling you what or how to play. I guess the way I put it in the post was not really the best way to say it.

Some other things have happened that prompted me to make this post. I was hesitant knowing that no matter how I said it someone would be offended......not my intention. Live free or die man, I never meant to Dictate.

I dont just post without talking to others, this was discussed, I am just not the best spokesman. Again Grapho I will gladly talk to you or anyone else to convey what I (I should say "we" cause it wasnt just me) was trying to say.

After talking to Serna I think I understand better your position. And like I said I appreciate that you are being earnest.

Perhaps my concern was premature. But it too was earnest.

What dooks meant to say was that the kin is not going to dictate what you can play. We all pay 15 bucks a month to play, nobody can tell us what to do. Now with that being said many complaints came to dooks that we were constantly running instances to gear up peoples alts. All of us wants to progress in the game and run in game material, to do that we need to focus on our main's and gear them out so we can do Vile Maw as a kin and not have to depend on another kin. This is not to say that we will not gear out anyone's alts, far from the case, but alt's are a secondary concern when it comes to all of our mains.
