Just interested to see what everybody is running, (warning: here be nerd talk) here's me:
AMD X2 3800 Dual Core @ 2.02Ghz 2GB DDR ram EVGA GTX 260 core 216 Superclocked XP home
Hopefully in the next month(s) this will change to:
Intel Q9450 Quad Core Overclocked @ 3.4Ghz 8GB DDR2 EVGA GTX 260 core 216 55nm SSC (EVGA Step-up rocks) Vista Ultimate 64bit
Will probably keep the old one as a slave for whatever reason, I have an extra case and PSU for it along with my old 7850 GT GPU

Intel Q9550 Quad-Core Overclocked @ 3.5GHZ 4GB DDR3 Ram Nvidia GTX9800+ Overclocked to 1100/900/1200 (Something like that I don't feel like checking) (Should get another for SLI, but I'm lazy meh) XP home (Vista sucks)
Also, I wouldn't waste money on an extra 4 GB that your OS won't recognize anyways. Instead of that, get another card for SLI imho.

Instead of that, get another card for SLI imho. Believe it or not, Vista has come a long way, especially with SP1. Not to mention DirectX10 is just plain purdy. Also the 64bit edition of Ultimate recognizes and supports 128+GB of ram (an obvious impossibility for the average consumer to actually have that much at this point in time). As a designer, the extra memory will come in handy, though I think I am just going to start off with 4GB just for cost reduction.

SLI/Crossfire will actually hinder your performance in LOTRO, also, vista 64 bit does recognize and use up to 8gb RAM, it will recognize more but i dont think u can get a consumer MB. I will find a nice post and attach if you do not believe me

Im using a quad core 6600 with 4 gig ram and a 8800gtx video card on Vista 64, I have also used the same setup on Linux Ubuntu 8.10 OS but the Vista 64 with DX10 looks so much better.
